In addition to the many services offered to members, the AICPA provides scholarship opportunities to accounting students. The AICPA Foundation Two-year Transfer Scholarship provides provides financial assistance to students looking to transfer from a two-year college to a four-year institution to complete their degree in accounting or an accounting-related field.

2017 NABA Western Region Student Conference Scholarship Program

Since inception, the National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. (NABA) has provided millions in scholarship funds to deserving students. Through the generous contributions of individuals, groups, and organizations that share NABA's desire to break through the economic barrier minorities often experience, NABA has offered scholarships on a national, regional and local level.

NABA Western Region Scholarship application will be accepted in its entirety if completed online by 11:59PM on Monday, October 2, 2017. Official transcripts must be postmarked by this date to be accepted. Freshman must submit a copy of their High School Transcript.

Recipients are required to attend the Western Region Student Conference (WRSC) October 12-14, 2017 in Houston, Texas. In addition, all recipients must attend the Scholarship Luncheon during the 2017 WRSC.

Actual cash awards will be made immediately following the luncheon except for any Freshman recipient(s), who will be required to submit their first quarter/semester college transcript to receive funds. CPA Review courses are non-cash awards and will be presented by November 2017.

ACAP is a trademark program owned by the National Association of Black Accountants Inc. and is held in 18 major cities across the country. The primary objective of ACAP is to increase understanding of accounting and business career opportunity among high school students from underrepresented ethnic groups. 2018 Accounting Scholars Development Program - CUNY

The City University of New York

The Accounting Scholars Development Program is a five day partial residency program aimed at tribal, African American, Latino, Asian and Native American communities attending the community colleges of the City University of New York who are majoring in accounting and interested in pursuing careers in accounting. The program increases awareness of careers in accounting and guides students through the process of transferring from a community college to a four-year institutions that meet the educational requirements for CPA licensing. Participates will visit a variety of employers (professional and financial services firms and government agencies) to obtain exposure to different careers in accounting.

The program will take place from July 16 - 20, 2018. Student participants are required to reside overnight on Tuesday, 7/17, Wednesday 7/18 and Thursday 7/19. Student expenses including reasonable transportation, dorm accommodations and meals will be paid for by the AICPA Foundation and other program sponsors.

And with the help of our corporate partners and individual donors, we have awarded more than $900,000 in scholarships to outstanding student members who have excelled in areas of accounting, finance, and business. Last year, NABA NY awarded more than $30,000 in scholarships ranging from $1,000-$6,000.
